The Weekend of the 6/7
September sees our Senior Intermediate Show Jumping Team competing
at the Riding Club National Championships at Lincoln the team
consisting of Emily Noskay, Katie Nicholas, Cathy Busby and Lucy
Thomas. Sally Callow
is going to be competing in Dressage test Nov 30 after winning as
an Individual and on the Sunday our Junior Dressage team of Hayley
Crocker, Emma Platts and Carissa Ford are competing.
We wish them all loads of luck and hope for good weather to
help them in their quest for those winning rosettes.
Meanwhile the wet
August didn’t prevent us putting on the Team Showjumping event,
and we used Trenethick again as a venue thanks to Amanda and John
Carpenter. Our
special thanks to Newquay Riding Club and West Devon Riding Club
who sent teams to our event. It was a great day full of fun and
the weather stayed good.. The
winning team came from Newquay with West Devon in second and then
followed by an East Cornwall Team.

Our next event is the
Team Dressage based on Rural Riders we expect to have around 7
teams and some of those teams are putting in a lot of practice,
although it won’t be a long day it will prove to be very
entertaining so please come along and watch. We are also holding this at Trenethick so we can use a
surface of 20 x 60 and everyone will be able to support each team.
On the 20 September we
are holding a Pleasure Ride at Bake Farm and we are looking for
Stewards for the day so any volunteers please contact Cathy or
Tracey.
We are then off to Camp
at Stockland Lovell with over 20 members so it will be both an
education and a laugh. That concludes our last event and completes
our outdoor season.
The Hunter Trial
Qualifier is being held on 12 October at Chyverton on their new
Course, Cathy is the team selector and is looking for members who
wish to represent the club, so if you are interested please
contact Cathy as soon as possible.
The AGM will be held on
21st October when we will be doing the points trophy and various
presentations that we have moved from the Dinner Dance so put the
date in your diary and we will let you know the Venue.
