AUGUST NEWS

Sorry that this is late, but to be honest I don't really have that much to write about, so this is going to be short and sweet.

Round up of recent events;

Evening Dressage (15th July) Cancelled due to the British weather

Training Day: Went ahead there was enough people to run this event. (Thank you Mary)

Mini Midi Maxi: Fairly well attended (Thank you Louise)

Dressage evening (3rd August): Fairly well attended (Thank you Emily)

Show Jumping Festival: This was short on entries, but I think that everyone there enjoyed themselves. (Thank you Catherine)

Team Fun Show Jumping: After a lot of persuasion 6 teams did attend this event. I was up to my usual stunt tricks and managed to fall off on the flat, buddy and smurf decided to take a preamble around the venue, apart from that it was an enjoyable relaxed event.

Horse Trials Championships

The junior team (Lauren Nicholls, Emelia Barry, Natalie Moore) did attend, but unfortunately where not placed. Still they did very well to qualify.

As some of you are aware our show jumps are becoming tired, and some of them need replacing. These jumps do not come cheap and the club would appreciate help in purchasing some replacements. If you would like to sponsor a jump or just donate a couple of quid, then please contact one of the committee.

This is a plea, if you are available to help at any of our events, please contact the organiser and volunteer your services, the committee is only small and it does take a lot of effort to pull together even the smallest of events.
